So much screwing...

Boy, I've been working on The Wiz set pretty much every evening for the past week.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the lack of posts (all 4 of you loyal readers) but I've been busy/tired recently.

So today I woke up and glanced at my clock "9:18" it read. Crap. I thought and started to get out of bed, I only had 10 minutes to get to calc.
Then I realized it was Saturday and I didn't have calc. I fell back asleep for about an hour and a half. It was good.
I headed off to shatz by noon and expected to at least see Drew there. I called him as I headed down to the dungeon after brunching and it turns out he was out really late at/following the party last night and my call about 12:30ish woke him up. Then I got down to the dungeon to find only our paint charge down there; I was expecting our set designer too.
Yena (our paint charge) helped me cut lauan to cover one side of a door flat so she could start painting those and then I called our set designer. I only got his voicemail which beeped at random intervals, making it very unclear when I was actually supposed to start talking. So I just hung around and cleaned up for a bit until our set desinger arrived. We ended up working till 5:30ish.
I had hoped/expected I'd be hanging out with Theresa tonight, but she was busy with work/things at the waterfront. I had a pretty good evening regardless.
I headed back to 'schlag and wasted a bit of time online, including watching a hilarious video, before heading off to the U with the heros. Connor called me just as I got my food asking if I'd like to go see Sin City with some people. It's certainly on my to-see list, but I wasn't going to finish and get over to the UC turnaround in less than 10 minutes, so I had to say no.
What I did end up doing was going to see was a fashion-show extravaganza-thing. Lots of dancing, music and interesting fashion (and the Nutbag!). I approach Rangos and see one really short line and one HUGE one. I figured the really long one was for people without tickets already (like me), so I headed down to the end of it. I quickly realized that it was the line for people who already had their tickets. I headed back and found out the other (must shorter) line was for people lacking tickets. My gain, I guess. The wacky thing is, since I got my ticket there, I got in way before most of the people who went out of their way to get tickets ahead of time. Suckers. I did manage to find a seat right in front of the personal cheering section of 1/3+ of the models. I don't think I ever want to hear the phrases "Uh oh!" or "What's this?" ever again. Well, maybe not ever. But never shouted into my ear frequently over the course of 2 hours.
However, it was really a great performance. Congrats to all involved! I'm glad I ended up going.
Many exciting and thrilling things have happened to me in the past several days. However, I don't feel the urge to sit here for another 20 min+ and type them all out. Suffice it to say, it's been exciting.
