An awesome end...

...to a pretty decent break.
I woke up at 9ish to Tim heading off to church, I think. It's amazing when you wake up and then realize without getting out of bed that you can sleep for 2 more hours. I fell back asleep and woke up and got out of bed 11ish when my alarm went off. I took a shower and then talked to Matt #2 and decided, with help from Hilda, that since we are cut off from Shatz today, we needed to go out somewhere for food for 'breakfast' (it was nearly noon by this point). We eventually settled on Pamelas and got there by bus. It's a pretty good breakfast place. That was another very 'collegey' experience for me. It just seemed like the kind of social 'event' that's supposed to happen in college, much like the Geagle trip that followed it. (Note to self, remember to get gum and Doc Browns back from Maggie Mo)
We got back from the Geagle run, having met up with Hector along the way and hung around watching so-so to bad TV at Maggie Mo. Suddenly it was a little past 6 and we discussed dinner. We didn't have a meal plan dinner block and noone was particularly hungry so we just decided to watch more TV. 8 o'clock rolled around and we had a late-night block, but noone really wanted to spend it at the O or Underground. More TV ensued. Not all of it was bad, we saw the last 1/2-2/3 of Silence of the Lambs. 8:30 rolled around and I realized that I had completely forgotten about the The Wiz production meeting (oh well, that's one of the perks of not being the head of something) and Matt #2 realized he had forgotten about all but the 9:00 Mass and he headed out. We evetually settled on going to halfprice (past 11) for dinner and watched Tomb Raider to pass the time.
We walked down to Joe Mamas to find that it was kareoke (sp?) night which means increasingly drunk people singing to generally bad music. This normally wouldn't be a huge problem, but our party of 7 was seated right in front of the DJ booth with the speakers, meaning we could barely talk except during the brief inter-song breaks. Oh well, it was good cheap food.
I need to go off to bed, what with classes in the morning.
