I just recieved notification from a voicemail my mom left me at least two days ago!
My immediately subsequent e-mail to Verizon:
"Over the past year I have become thoroughly disgusted at the quality of your voicemail service for two reasons:
1) My phone (A verizon-branded LG VX4500) tells me DAYS later that I have recieved voicemail! This is wholly unacceptable. People might have well just written me a letter!
2) When I do recieve a message, there is no indication from the voicemail service when the message was left, this is made worse by problem 1 because I truly have no idea when the message was left.
That, along with my general dissatisfaction with my phone (that's another issue for another e-mail), and other consideration, have made me seriously consider switching to another cellular phone carrier.
I would appreciate any comments you have regarding your atrociously sub-par voicemail services."
Oh, and Verizon, just because the most people use you, doesn't make you the best, as you are claiming in a recent spate of radio spots. It just generally, makes you the cheapest. For an analogy, Verzion, let's pretend you're a prostitute, OK? Being cheap does not make you good. People will come to you because you are cheap and available, and that's it. More expensive, classier prostitutes (Sprint/Nextel, perhaps?) are higher quality.
Verizon, do you really enjoy being the cheap whore?

mmmm...the smell of strongly worded emails/blog posts in the morning...well, it's 1 am, but good enough. I don't think you understand how nice it is to read someone else's rant sometimes. Hope Verizon begs for your mercy!
