copulate? No, that doesn't sound quite right. Fuck. That's it! Meatfuck!
Yea...so that's why I just spent an evening out dining and came back, my wallet lightened by $43. Wow, sooooo good though. I don't regret it. I don't think I need to eat till I go home. So this blessed event took place at a Brazilian steakhouse. Now for those of you not in 'the know' this means that you pay a certain amount, all-you-can-eat buffet style and then you have free reign at the salad bar and access to all the roasted meat you could want. The meat it brought to you fresh off the fires, speared onto swords and cut, dripping, of the sword-skewer right as you say "yes please!" or in the case of skirt steak, "Oh, God, yes!!" Sooo good! It was also a mournful occasion, ~2/3 or more of the people involved were graduating, meaning that meatfuck likely will not consist of 42 people next time it occurs; hopefully end of F05. I also splurged on two desserts, cuz I couldn't choose between flan and chocolate-and-cherry cake. I ate about 2/3 of the slice of cake before realizing: I wasn't crazy about it (and I really like Flan) and that I wouldn't be able to eat all the flan if I finished the cake. Luckily, Alex A and boyfriend were sitting across the table and Alex's eyes really lit up when another Alex (and therefore obviously very cool) offered some very good (but not as good as the flan) chocolate cake.
Anyway...so, yea. Awesome food with some truly unforgettable people. They will be missed.
So, in other news: the past like, 4 days have been righeously awesome. Seriously. Mostly because of Woodscotch. But I'm not there yet.
Sunday and Monday were very relaxed. I had no finals and I was just coming down off a very busy end of the semester. I managed to not study at all (as mentioned previously) but I enjoyed the days nonetheless. Then came yesterday (tuesday) bearing Woodscotch.
Wow, can any other woodscotch in the eternity of time come close to matching that? Aaron's Revenge, The seven C's doing a dramatic reading of "Everybody have fun tonight" some awesome juggling/parody of that french surrealist play from Scotch on the Rocks and, oh yea, Scott and Katie winning a kudos for cutest couple (which, as Scott pointed out they'd been trying to avoid the past three years) and then Scott proposed to Katie and now they're engaged! I mean, when does that happen? I didn't realize people even did that in public any more! And since when do my friends get married? Weird. But congrats to both of them! They're really awesome people. So yea, other stuff happened too, Rob (who, as I forgot to mention is the actual Othello master (Rob > Yena(drunk) > Tim(drunk))) wore a corset and pictures were taken (haha! Blackmail!) and then we ended up at Greg's for an awesome party. Since when do all these cool people turn out to be seniors? Why!?
I guess it was awesome because of the wide spectrum of people there...and the lack of spin-the-bottle dominating the party. In fact (Sarah, correct me if I'm wrong) they never was actually any spin-the-bottle. Crazy. This party also marked the first time I'd ever been directly invited to play spin the bottle and also the first time I had to help a friend sit up because she'd been drinking too much. Crazyness. I love SnS. Like, I really do. I'm gonna miss everyone over the summer. Speaking of which, Miriam and Sarah, we should definitely convene a meeting of the Massachusetts chapter of SnS. Preferably at my friend Ben's beach house in RI. Good times'll be had by all.
There're lots of people I'll miss this summer/next year. The Heros'll be breaking up somewhat, since they'll no longer be in 'schlag (except for Doug, he'll be an RA next year) and spread out somewhat. the M&I crew which has gotten so tight (as far as I can tell) over this past year will be splitting up for good, at least in the academic sense. I have to make sure I keep up with those people.
Since my days'll likely become much more routine come the summer, I'll likely be posting more of my opinions on news items, cuz who doesn't need to hear my opinions? And now I feel in competition with Jing and Liz since they have 'thoughtful' or 'insightful' blogs.
Anyway, I really ought to study a smidgen for my meche final tomorrow...yea. What irks me about that class is that if I'd come in, summer after my jr year (before heading to Germany) and sat in on the review session I went to today and took the notes I did....I probably wouldn't have had to go to the rest of the lectures this semester. I really feel at this point that this was a wasted course. It really sucks. I wanted to learn about ICE's and Jet engines in a classroom setting. Screw you, Howie Choset. And your snake robots too.
