ETA...

of first final (meche)? Barely under 60 hours (1 pm Thursday).
Amount I have studied for exams (all told): Less than 1 chapter of econ.
Well, honestly that's the only exam I'm really worried about. Meche/physics I can apply first principles and figure out the right answer, calc I can stumble through but econ never ceases to elude me. I think the issue is I like/understand macroeconomics and 73100 is essentially an intro to micro. Or something like that. I just don't quite get lots of what's said in that class. Or it makes sense by I have no idea why it happens. Arg. And I have no justification for the 'C' I'm cruising for in that class. I guess it's mostly 'cause I haven't really been taking it seriously, which is obviously a mistake.
I dunno what the problem is, I took interp seriously enough...it's not 'just' because it's a humanities course. Perhaps it's because I've never really intensively studied econ before? I mean, I 'studied' it for ACADEC for 3 years and then there was intro to econ senior year, which as I recall involved more and (slightly) higher-order math (we didn't do "apples cost $0.50 and oranges cost $.75, what can you by with $7" type problems). Perhaps that's the issue? Should I have taken that 'econ with calc' course? Quite likely. Oh well, my bad.
Anyway...I know I've not been posting, I'm dreadfully sorry. I've been somewhat occupied as of late. I actually slept in-space for Scotch on the Rocks, managing to sleep through my last calc lecture. It was actually remarkably cozy in the Connan room. I slept between my curtain-draped-piano-frame and the stage right curtain/masking. Apparently chicken came over to change behind there at some point and decided against it seeing me sleeping back there.
The shows went awesomely, though. I'd forgotten the fun/excitement of run crew, hanging out backstage and imagining what's going onstage. Yes, I did do 'run crew' for The Crane Wife but that was mostly frantically setting up/breaking down the set and then me sitting center stage on headset, praying to whatever God may be out there that the bulb didn't burn out as my cues were called. Not the same, unfortunately.
So...yay for SnS people being generally awesome. Strike went remarkably well...we were done so promptly that we had to wait to get into Rangos so that we could stow our lighting stuff and platforms. Aaron apparently devised some ingenious system for storing our platforms under Rangos...I hope someone who isn't a senior got an explanation.
Speaking of seniors, it's terribly sad to think that Aaron, Ram, Catherine etc won't be around next year/ever. Aaron and Ram especially are such integral parts of my perception of SnS, I don't know what next year will be like at all. Except that the board is full of awesome people. I think it will be good...except for the people who will be missing.
So...after strike I hit up Joe Mama's with Miriam, Ally, Kelsey (with whom I would have attended HS had I not moved from Pittsburgh) and Damo mostly so Miriam could break Passover with some quality Italian food. And it was quality...as was the conversation. I think I'll leave it at that.
The party at Beej's was interesting as well. Especially when Mary Grace insisted that a barely conscious Adam Atkinson feel the difference between her real and fake boob (apparently her right one was much smaller than her left one. Go figure). A highly intoxicated Yena managed to beat a similarly-intoxicated Tim in Othello with little to no memory of her victory afterwards. Other such excitements also occurred, but I feel no need to repeat them here.
The following day consisted of me waking up 1:30ish, getting lunch somewhere and doing laundry. Nothing else very exciting. Today (well, actually yesterday, Monday) was me waking up noonish and not getting much of anything accomplished. I really ought to have studied somewhat (as mentioned above) but I didn't and won't before I head off to bed. I did talk a lot with some cool people I hadn't talked to in a while. I also read extensively on fascinating topics that relate little (if at all) to any of the tests that I have coming up in the next week and a half. At least it was fun.
Tomorrow I will study as well as make a trip into Squirrel Hill to deposit a $120 SnS reimbursement check. Lets see how well that 'studying' thing happens.
Oh yea! It's also Woodscotch tomorrow! Should be lotsa fun.

PS This 'spell check' thingy helps an aweful lot catching typos.
