So, I'm a doofus and can't read times apparently and so the scheduling conflicts I thought I had don't actually exist. Ha, I win, I guess. The only 'if' is whether or not Intro to Anthro is filled up come 9am tomorrow morning. We shall have to see. If it is, I have no idea what I'll take, as I'm sure World History conflicts with Thermo or Statics. Or both, for all I know.
Today I was actually quite produtive. After physics and calc I took the bus over to squirrel hill to deposit some checks at the bank.
Waiting for the bus is pretty excruciating. Even knowing that a 10 minute wait is easily made up for by the quick bus ride...I just feel useless sitting there as opposed to walking there on my own, even though it's relatively tiring (lots of hills) and way longer than the bus wait+bus ride (walk ~20ish min). Luckily the bank was quick (if the teller had said anything about 'virginia slims' I would have died of laughter) and I got back to CMU ~ 40 min after I left 'schlag.
I grabbed lunch at Skibo and then got back and worked on physics and calc (and figured out my schedule) much faster than I expected. I also did econ. I seemingly had some spare time today; I wasn't quite sure what to do with myself. I basically procrastinated without feeling too bad about it. 'Twas nice.
Build went alright tonight. No actors but Abbey (The Wiz sound person) and Drew were there. Abbey is quite handy with tools/carpentry. It's nice being able to ask someone to measure and mark 2x4's or build a box and you can trust that it'll get done nice. Quote of the night was definitely Abbey's under-the-breath "buncha pre-drill Nazis..."
The night's been rather un-noteworthy otherwise...I hung out in the 'schlounge for a bit, talking with Hilda and Grace about their physics and trying to figure out how Charles was off by a factor of ~10 billion while calculating valence electrons/atom in Germanium or Silicon.
Tomorrow I'll get to register for classes, put in some work for my on-campus job (lets see if I earn more than $5.00 this pay period), go to a buncha meetings and A MechE BBQ for dinner! Yay for hamburgers and engineers!
Well off to bed for me.
