Hardcore 50's music!

That's what's going to comprise the preshow music for WASP at the Doubleshot. It will rock and rock hard. Buddy Holly style.

Right, so today 'joyfully' started at 7:45ish when I rolled out of bed, got dressed and dragged myself to the UC to get some breakfast. Then it was off to Physics Recitation. That was quite thrilling. It did however explain why everyone's grade (visible on Blackboard) had gone down by three points on the most recent HW assignment. It turns out Mike made an error (the same one the rest of us had) in writing out the solution to a problem, and therefore eventually deducted us for our incorrect answers. We re-did it in class and earned those points back. Yay. Following that it was time for my thrilling Calc recitation; good times, especially with the quiz we took. It wasn't that bad though.
My classes were over after that, but my day certainly wasn't. I had a brief break during which I was unproductive until 11:45ish when I hit up Skibo for lunch, as per the usual.
After lunch it was up to UC 3rd floor for good times talking to ABtech about our sound system. We (Tarnow, Yin and myself) then played a rousing game of "Bang" (a sorta simplified wild-west Magic the Gathering). After I was killed in a duel with Tarnow I headed back to 'schlag, ostensibly to get some work done, and basically hung around and didn't do anything until 5ish when I went to the Dungeon for some good 'ole banging and screwing (though mostly I scraped plaster off old flats trying to find screws).
Drew's doing a freaking amazing job cleaning/organizing the Dungeon. It will be a thing of beauty. Scratch that, the hinge drawers and screw bins are a thing of beauty.
I headed out from the build 7ish or so and had dinner at the U and then headed over to PH125C only to find out that the WASP rehearsal was at 8:30 and not 8:00. So I went to the UC and killed 30 min watching CNN and drinking coffee before hitting up Calc SI at the OSC. I met up with Grace and Hilda just before SI and they were giggling and laughing throughout most of SI. Apparently, Hilda spilled the entire bad of Peanut Butter M&M's (that she had just bought outside, to the disgust of Grace) all over the floor, and Grace was mocking her for it. At the end the SI leader called on Grace to work through an arclength problem and she quickly passed the responsibility on to me and then I passed it off to Hilda once we got to the integral of sec(x) (it's ln|sec(x)+tan(x)| for anyone who cares) but then the problem was basically solved. I hung out at Skibo for about 30 min with them after SI let out and then it was off to WASP rehearsal to get the various sound cues.
All I actually came away with was being impressed by some of the progress that was made in the scenes I saw them rehearse, having a gist of what Connor and Joe (the WASP directors) wanted for pre-show music, and a promise from Helen to e-mail me the updated sound cue plot/sheet/thingy. Whatever it is it beats me scribbling notes in my margins and then missing them until my sound freshman highlight them for me so that I don't miss cues during the show. It should be nice having all my cues called for me, and not just the 'important' ones, like mic cues matter at all, apparently. Anyway, SnS theatre rocks!

Erm...yea. So this week and next week are gonna be wicked stressful: Econ exam friday, physics exam (the first exam purportedly evokes tears upon its returned) and load-in on Monday (yes, Valentine's day, not that I would have had anything planned anyway), Calc exam Wedensday, MechE design review and we open on Thursday.

Other than that those things, stuff's going well, I guess. Stressful but well. If I didn't already mention it, Drew will be MCing (Master carpenter...ing) for The Wiz and I shall be assisting him. This means we are the musical carpenters (we last MC'd Batboy together, the previous musical this year).

[UPDATE 12:16 am]: I guess I did already tell you about me AMCing for The Wiz. And I forgot a "/" in one of the links...

Honey, when you're linking the school scheduler...you have a problem. The first step is admitting it...
