Well, turns out instead of being assistant sound guy for the SnS Doubleshot, I get to be the sound guy! It's pretty awesome. I can regain my title of "Sound Master," even if I'll just be playing sound effects through someone's stereo.
Unfortunately, this means that I now have that much more responsibility; I have to talk to the directors and get lists of sound cues and whatnot. Apparently, due to Tarnow, I have access to CMUDrama's sound effects library, if I need it, which would be awesome.
Lets see...what else....
Right, so this morning before I shatzed for brunch, Hilda reminded me that the last showing of L'Italiana in Algeri was today at 2:30 at Purnell. So I Shatzed and headed over there. On the way out of 'schlag on my way to the theatre I apparently agreed to go with the heros to a strip club for one of the Matts birthdays. That'll be interesting, if it ever happens.
The performance was amazing! The space itself is quite impressive and they put it to good use. The lighting was fairly simple but worked very well for the show. The set as well was simple and almost entirely flown-in, but it worked very well.
I was terribly impressed with the entire cast. It's hard to believe that these people are, at most, a few years older than me! Kudos to everyone for a thoroughly impressive and enjoyable performance.
So by the time I got back it was 5ish and I was starving. People either weren't around or were busy (like the nutbag, for instance) so I headed out for dinner alone. I intended to go to shatz, cuz I was absolutely starving. Apparently you can only Shatz for brunch on Sundays, and I ended up at the U. As I was finishing up, a chunk of M&I people came in to eat; I couldn't stay though, I had an SnS meeting at 8.
'Bout 7:30 I headed over to the UC and grabbed coffee and cookies at Skibo, running into Drew and his baggers. They ditched him and we talked about the mousetrap car and his new camera until the meeting started. He then proceeded to abuse his camera, taking 'discrete' pictures of a bunch of people at the meeting.
After the meeting I headed over to the Dungeon with Tarnow and Drew and we proceeded to clean and destroy parts of the dungeon until around 10:30. I then proceeded home and spent ~30 min dutifully entering the entire SnS tech contact list into my PDA and then futzing around with yahoo trying to get Yahoo and Outlook/PDA all nice and synced up.
That brings us to now, it's 11:53, I didn't get any of the Econ reading done that I'd wanted to, and I'm sweaty from smashing things in the Dungeon. And tomorrow I have class. And fencing (yay!).
[EDIT 11:55]: Wow, I think that's a first for me, no links.
