many songs will be written in our honor."
That quote is from Worf on the Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode "Apocolypse Rising," which was the second half of a pretty good two-parter that I saw today. Just thought I'd share it with you, though it's partly lost on you because you couldnt see/hear Worf say it; the wonder in his voice made the quote.
So, anyway, my day so far:
Woke up and took a shower. Came down stairs and watched a coupla episodes of ST:DS9 and then some other stuff, nothing really of note. Took a phone call and wrote down the note on my new PDA, made me feel very 'hip' and 21st century-ish.
I walked into the center so that I could re-register to vote in Sharon and more importantly, get some coffee.
Re-registering was remarkably easy. I had to wait in line behind some people trying to get passports and then the town clerk filled out the recquisite form and I signed it and then filled out a remarkably brief form that'll get an absentee ballot sent to me in April for the annual town elections. Ha! I'll finally be able to fight back against the stupidity of 'the people.' I feel empowered.
I got back and logged online for a while. Lots of WoW ensued. Dinner rolled around and I ate. And it was good. Then my entire family scattered to various activities. Mom went to a PTO meeting, the bothers headed off to a Boy Scouts meeting and Dad went off to a Sharon standing building committee (no, they do sit down at meetings. It's standing cuz it's always around. I was confused too). I walked the pooch and proceeded to watch 3 hours of Law & Order followed by a Modern Marvels talking about the Sears tower in Chicago, Ill and then Family Guy (the witness protection program one) and the Futurama (the one based on the movie 'Wallstreet' (the one that starred both the Sheens)). For the life of me I can't remember what I watched after that, but I just finished watching something about Wild West executions and now theres a show on 'Engineering Disasters,' looks to be filled with many explosions and large amounts of human stupidity.
Ok, I just discovered why the date of my watch was so sketchy as of late: now at 1:02 am it was displaying 1:02 pm, thus causing the confusion. I feel stupid; I must have screwed up when 'falling back' for daylight savings.
Well, time for ginourmous rocket-fueled explosions...
