"...no, it was on thursday."
That was the priceless exchange between my mother and my littlest bother tonight heading back from dinner. I thought you all'd appreciate it.
I rolled out of bed about 10:30 and reveled in taking a shower that wasn't in a 'public' restroom setting. My dad claims he left coffee for me, but there wasnt that much left in the carafe when I got downstairs. Oh well, it's really just a force of habit at this point; I'm used to having a cup of coffee in my hand by 10:35.
I spent waayyy too long just sitting around the house on a computer today. I did manage to get some routine stuff done on the home computers (defragging, cleaning up the hard drives) but certainly not worth a day of vacation.
I walked to the center to get coffee (alright, I do have a caffeine addiction...) but I also wanted to see if the guy at the computer store was going to hire anyone over the summer, and see if I could get hired...cuz summer jobs (which are a direct source of money) are good. More imporantly, I wanted to see if I could pick up a copy of WoW, but the store wasn't open. So, I went to Starbucks and sated my caffeine addiction, but also managed to jump-start my eggnog addiction. Oh well.
I did get to drive the MDX which just about made my day. Then Robert DiNero and (more importantly) Kermit/other muppets were on SNL. That was pretty awesome.
Well, I'm off to bed, tomorrow morning my dad's going to start teaching me how to drive a manual transmission so that I'll actually have a car (sexy, isn't it? Not actually mine, but looks just like it) to drive around.
I will leave you now with a quote from me, first heard in a .vomit late morning/travel report:
"Some things money can't buy, for everything else, there's your CMU ID card."
