Also, I've spent approximately $2303 this weekend on a desktop and laptop combination detailed earlier. This is about $3 more than my grief-laden laptop+docking station cost.
Granted, I didn't need to buy a monitor or graphics card for my desktop, but still.
I really don't know why I didn't do this like, 3 years ago.
At least I can pass this kind of advice onto the younger generation: my brother won't make the same mistakes as me (He's already built his own desktop, laptop will come when he picks a college/graduates from HS).
Also, on an unrelated note, one roomie wants to know what kind of "big money baller" blogger I am, basically in regards to the size of my readership. So all three of you comment and show him how many people hang on my every online word.
PS Here's the final component list, for those who care:
- Case/Power Supply/Motherboard: Shuttle Barebones Kit
- CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6400
- RAM: OCZ PC5400, 2GB
- System Hard Drive: Hitachi 250GB SATAII
- Optical Drive: Samsung DVD-ROM/R/RW/RAM DL Lightscribe
- Thermal Paste: Arctic Silver 5
- Laptop: T60

Belton, you're hilarious. But it is sadly true that I hang on your every word...So comment I have!
