So, Classes, right...

Tentative S07

24-302: MechE Seminar
This just fulfills a communication req that I couldn't fill because BizCom conflicted with Thermal Fluids lab. And it was at 8:30 am. Not going to happen.

24-321: Thermal Fluids
It's Heat Transfer + Fluid Mechanics, but stupider, apparently.

24-352: Dynamic Systems & Controls
Things have parts and they move. Things make them move. That's basically what this class should be about.

24-371: Electromechanical Systems
I'm wicked excited about this one: it's ECE but for MechE's. Basic circuit analysis and then wiring up servos and whatnot.

/END REQUIRED COURSES

39-245: Rapid Prototype Design
A reputable source (and current president of a student-theatre organization) has assured me this is the best (engineering?) class he's taken so far at CMU. You make things, quickly. And Maria's taking it too (she's a CS major and is getting "science" credit for it).

79-231: American Foreign Policy 1945-Present
Sounds neat. Doesn't sound as cool as History of Modern Warfare, but it fits into my schedule better. I've been told it's a good class, as well. It also continues my depth sequence.

24-355: Kinematics & Dynamics of Mechanisms.
I'm currently in Dynamics. The topic has two parts, Kinetics (forces that cause motion) and Kinematics (the motion itself). This is like, Dynamics II, sorta. I like the prof, and he's going to be lenient with us because he's never taught the course before.

Yea, it's 63 units. I told myself I wasn't going to do that (again) but I can drop Rapid Prototype without any real repercussions, and dropping Kinematics would only kill my ambition of also going for a Robotics minor.
