(Possibly) Music to my ears, part deux

The New contender.

So one major thing I realized through this whole search was that the players I was considering only supported mp3/WMA and no other formats, especially the 'lossless' (I still don't really believe it) compressions like ogg Vorbis or FLAC.

So eventually my searching yielded the brand Cowon/iAudio. Their hardware seems to be top-notch (metal and not plastic cases!) and have support for every codec under the sun, it seems.
Nicely enough, they have two models that interest me that only really differ in support of pictures/video. One does, the other doesnt. I don't know if that really bothers me at all, and they're only about $40 different and it appears the higher-end (vid capable) has an hour or two better audio-playback battery life. It's also available in capacties greater than 20GB, whereas the lower-end one isn't, but that's only important if I start hauling movies around on it.
I have read consistantly that it's a poor movie-viewer, and honestly I can't imagine anything with a 1.8" screen being a good movie viewer; unless it's like some kind of glasses-type setup where the screens appear to be much bigger than 1.8". Regardless, I really doubt I'd pay an extra $40+ for a color screen the ability to not look at pictures and movies, as likely the case will be.

They're don't sort music via ID3 tags, like a lot of other players do, they sort them by directory which is fine as my music is already sorted by artist and with a 20GB player my entire collection could go right over and I'd just have to put together some playlists...no biggie.

Secondary to that, is my upcoming personal experiment: do I not carry my MD player around that much due to its size or the bulkiness of my current headphones? To this end I've purchased a new set of earbud headphones that are currently en-route to my house (as I stupidly didn't change my default shipping address from the summer) and will be relayed to me very soon. We'll see how that goes. I feel that regardless of the headphones, the player is still, no question, too bulky to fit in a jeans-style pocket. With the smaller headphones it should work well enough in a cargo-pocket, but I already have allocated those pockets to things and I don't always wear cargo pants, I'm, in fact, wearing jeans now.

Then there's still the question of if I can rig a hard-wired aux-input for my car, I don't have a tape deck and I've heard mixed things about the functionality of in-car FM transmitters.
