Guess what I've realized?

I-95 is the Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. Seriously, how come it takes ~2 hrs to drive what should be about 40 min or less? Also, who came up with the bright idea of letting cars drive in the breakdown lane? 'Cuz, ya know, noone's car'll ever break down and have to use it for its intended purpose...

Anyway aside from the commute life's been good. I've done a lot of working and getting paid these past two weeks (sorry for the dearth of posts...I've been...busy(?)). I've done everything from take out the trash to running large hydraulically-actuated equipment to examining highly polished samples of Titanium and Titanium-matrix composites. I'm honestly really enjoying myself. I wish my evenings were more exciting/productive sometimes. Like, I've got a bin of clean laundry that was washed on Monday during the day but I haven't folded and put it away (though I plan on doing that immediately following this update) because I just haven't felt like it yet. I'm vaguely concerned that I'll never be able to get anything done in the evenings after work because I just won't feel like it. Like, for the rest of my life. Oh well, hopefully that won't be the case and anyway, I don't have to worry about the rest of my life for at least 4 or five years, since I'm planning on Grad school.
I really like the fact that I feel much more confident about myself and what I need to do at work. I'm no longer double-checking at every step of paperwork and I can answer a lot of questions myself about what project number I need to fill out on a form etc. By this point I feel like a useful member of the staff, instead of someone who just lifts heavy things and gets paid 1.5x minimum wage for it.

Not much other stuff's been happening...I've taken up Planetside. So cool. I mean, I jump into a Galaxy drop-ship with a bunch of squadmates and drop right down into an enemy base! And then later I tried to fight off giant enemy robot/tank things. It's all the things that made Infantry CTF/Skirmish great, in 3-D and better. I've got a free month that'll take me right up to my birthday and I don't know if I'll cancel my subscription then. We'll have to see.

Anyway, I'm off. Perhaps I'll update later if someone comes to mind. I'll try to make this more of an at least weekly thing, as opposed to every two weeks - maybe.
