That is the quote of the night. Ashley was describing the music needed during the 'ghetto fab' scene(s) of her show ("Black Idiot Box" by CMU's own Darren Canady, half of the SnS Doubleshot this year.)
So, my day:
Woke up 11ish, went online for half an hour, 45 minutes, took a shower, got to DnD.
8 hrs later, left DnD, went to dinner at the U where there was a rediculous line, as is to be expected every other sunday. Met up with Ashley and Drew (same Ashley as above) and headed over to Mudge for s'mores and a tour of Mudge. It's really a very nice looking building, lots of stone and wood paneling. Drew and I might even room together next year at Mudge, that'd be cool, especially with the semi-private bathrooms.
From there, on to Doubleshot Design meeting. I just realized that I think I bit off much more than I bargained for by being one of the sound guys for the doubleshot. Black Idiot Box certainly will require many sound ques, and Wasp, by Steve Martin, yes, that Steve Martin, won't be too much easier. That'll be a fun one because it's supposed to be fairly cheesy.
Not much more to report...the roomie and I are about to watch "Dodgeball" which will be good times. I will wake up tomorrow and study for Calc, there will be a review session 8:30-10:30 tomorrow night following which I will immediately go to bed because my Calc final is at 8:30 tuesday morning. I would certainly like to get some breakfast before the three hour test.
Well I am off...
[EDIT:] OK, so I lied again. I'll admit it. We were going to watch 'Dodgeball' until we realized it was a bootleg french version taken by a really bad cameraman. We then were going to watch "Man on Fire" but that was in like taiwanese or something. We ended up watching "Boondock Saints" and wow, that was an awesome choice. Not only was it in english and a good copy, but it's an awesome movie. Perhaps a bit cooler for me than the roomie cuz I recognized a lot of quasi-obscure Boston landmarks (like Rowes Wharf...was that the "Hahbah Belle"?). BTW, the roomie, he's thinking of converting to Irish. How? I don't think he's figured that out yet, but he's going to try.
[EDIT^2:] Fixed a common mis-spelling and neatened up a link. I really ought to proof-read before hitting the 'publish' button.....
[EDIT^3:] OK, so just for clarification, in "Boondock Saints" the MBL boat is not the 'Hahbah Belle" (aka "Satan's little rowboat") but the "Freedom" the 'fine' ship of my good friend Ben, a MBL lifer. This information was provided by Dan, the self-proclaimed MBL lifer.
