For the Alliance!

OK, so WoW is freakin' awesome (Oskarius, lvl 10 Dwarf Hunter on Stormrage). I can make my own bullets, make and throw dynamite at people, do infact know more than one way to skin a cat, cook up a mean batch of beer-roasted boar ribs (mmmm, tasty!) and I'm about to tame a pet and I can't wait till lvl 20 when I can dual wield (i before e, except after c)! So, I know that WoW will be able to absorb a ton of my time because I have been playing and thinking "oh, I wish I could do that!" I can see myself making a couple more chars just to try everything out and at least one Horde char, just to see Azeroth from the other side. I like the Taurens, I might make a shaman or something.

So, I've been home all day, and it will remain that way through the night. I was gonna go partay with Ben, Dina, Zack etc at the 'deis, but the 'rents won't go for it, unfortunately. I've progressed from wishing that I had my license to wishing I had a car/could operate the one availble. Oh well, it's not like I don't have anything to do here at home (see above).

Being 'home' isn't as flat-out amazing as I had hoped for. Yea, I get to sleep in, get home cooked meals and watch TV (Law & Order, more importantly) all night long, but my friends, as of yet, haven't been around. I mean, Ari's in Israel, Ben's working like nobody's business and lives in Hingham now, anyway, and Dina still hasn't come back from the 'deis. People from HS can be fun to hang out with, but the SHSTC people seem to fail to remember to include me, just likes it's been all through HS. It's not like they dislike me or try to exclude me, they just forget that I'm around. The only time I get invited to go along with them is when it's some 'formal' thing like a grad party or when it's just expected that I'd be coming along like the cast party or dinner after a performance. Like when I went back for Seuss, my friends fairly blatantly forgot to save me a seat. Granted, I didn't mind sitting next to Stacia, but it's the principle of the matter. The AZN Brotherhood at least remembers that I exist outside of the tech booth, but they can get sorta (by sorta I mean occasionally very) annoying, and I certainly'd like to avoid several members when there's the remote chance of alcohol being involved, as I know that'd turn out messy.

So, then, I end up sitting here on my computer basically all vacation so far. Certainly there've been worse fates, but I was hoping to be able to spend most/alot of time with my friends who I hadn't seen for a month(s). I'll have been home a week tomorrow evening and I spent an evening with Ben and Dina, but it's not nearly as much as I'm used to, since I used to live with them, practically. Hopefully things'll pick up after Xmas, mebbe Dina and I'll work at MBL with Ben on New Years again, that was tons of fun. I mean, who doesn't want to get paid to have dinner and go dancing (and carry some chairs around at the end)?
